Your Own Clinical Mentor

“There were certain characteristics that I sought of my mentor including open communication between her and me, availability for consultations, supportiveness of my learning style and clinical experiences and enthusiasm towards the field of speech-language pathology. While working for Boothby Therapy Services I was assigned a mentor who encompassed all these qualities”
-Jessica Butler, MS, CCC-SLP

Every company talks a good game about the clinical support you will receive. Boothby Therapy Services is different. Our President, Maren Boothby, MS, CCC-SLP is a therapist herself and has recruited Clinical Managers who are both outstanding therapists and super people.

Clinical Manager: Speech Therapy NH

“The most rewarding part of my job is partnering with other talented clinicians,” says Boothby Therapy Services founder and Speech Clinical Manager, Maren Boothby, MS, CCC-SLP. “Eight years in the schools taught me just how broad our field of speech and language pathology really is. The best school-based speech and language pathologists are generalists who know a lot about a lot different types of speech and language disorders. We all benefit from a sounding board or another set of eyes on our most challenging students. I love supporting therapists in this manner and connecting them with other SLPs in our community of therapists who have different areas of expertise.” Maren came to the schools after starting her career in the skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings. Her exposure to the medical model, working with adults and children with neurological and developmental deficits, provided a valuable skill set to apply to children in the school setting. “I know I don’t know all the answers,” Maren says, “but I like searching for them, and I am continually amazed and excited by the wealth of knowledge held by the therapists with whom we work.” Maren brings her own strengths in evaluation and managing the needs of large caseloads of children with speech and language needs to the forefront for all the clinicians which whom she works.
