Improving skill leads to improving impact.
Boothby Therapy believes that great therapists are always searching for ways to improve their skills. We are proud to sponsor national, regional and BTS specific educational programming which allows you to translate what you learned directly into your classroom the following day. We offer discounts for 3 or more individuals from the same SAU in hopes that collaboration will further improve your service delivery to children. Check back often as we normally sell out our programs quickly!
Applying Technology to Support Social & Executive Functioning for Students
by Sean Sweeney, MS, MEd, CCC-SLP
As school case managers, OTs, and SLPs, our caseloads are liberally sprinkled with students who face social and executive functioning breakdowns that significantly impact their classroom success. This full day conference will feature easy and functional ways assistive technology can be leveraged to teach social cognition and executive functioning skills including improved planning, organization, behavioral regulation, and time management – skills that become increasingly critical as students progress through middle and high school. Techniques include both webtools and apps for iPad and are aligned with current best practice methodologies in areas such as using social narrative, video modeling, social skill training, self-regulation and executive function skills. Got a group of challenging students? Consider registering with your team: you’ll earn a discount and you can learn to implement these visual and interactive methods together!
SLPs receive 0.6 ASHA CEUs, all other professionals will receive Certificates of Attendance.
