"I love my job! I have been working for Boothby Therapy Services for about two years and it is the best decision I have ever made. Take my advice-give BTS a try! You won't be sorry!"
Irene Gordon, M.Ed., OTR/L
To foster positive working relationships in our company, we strive for clear, respectful relationships between employees and their colleagues and employees and their managers. We set aside regular time for meetings between employees and managers to ensure there is time to review work in progress, problem-solve challenging cases, prioritize future work and monitor progress toward personal and professional goals. Your manager commits to:
- Acknowledging and respecting your skills and contributions.
- Maintaining open lines of communication.
- Providing honest and direct feedback about your work.
- Acknowledging and celebrating your successes.
In the manager / employee partnership, you, as an employee, are asked to make a sincere and professional effort to meet your obligations as a team member by:
- Maintaining open lines of communication.
- Informing your manager about the status of your work or anything that affects your work performance.
- Asking for help when needed.
- Partnering with your manager in a genuine effort to continually improve.
At Boothby Therapy Services, you won't be in the dark about what is expected of you, nor will you be thrown into your job without careful preparation and attentive support.
When you join Boothby Therapy Services, you will be welcomed as a valued addition to our team. We will take you through a detailed Orientation Process that includes:
- An introduction to the story and mission of our company.
- An invitation to join us in working towards achievement of our vision statement.
- A statement of the specific accountabilities of your job as described in your personalized Position Contract.
- A review of how and when your performance will be measured.
- A personal training on how to use our technological systems (e.g., documentation, time-sheet, etc.).
- A password to our company intranet, and an index of the clinical templates and resources that are housed there.
In many cases, your Clinical Manager will accompany you to your placement site on the first day of work to assist in managing the logistical challenges that sometimes occur when meeting a new team and getting set up in a new space. In every case, your Clinical Manager will be available to provide personalized support to you, including on-site visits, to help you achieve your fullest potential!
Are you a late-night worker? A weekend report writer? While your Clinical Manager might be logging some quality time with his or her family, you still have access to a wealth of clinical resources via the Boothby Therapy Services intranet.
So it's getting late. Your little ones are bathed and (finally!) tucked in for the night. Your husband is watching the game on TV, and at last you have a moment to finish up that eval from earlier this week.
Boothby Therapy Services gives you 24/7/365 access to our company intranet site, which is filled with useful clinical tools. Evaluation templates, links to great websites, goal banks and other cutting edge clinical information is at your fingertips. Looking for educational handouts for parents and teachers that can be customized for your specific child just before school starts for the day? Links to websites that actually have the information you need without searching endlessly? Sources for social stories or therapy activities? How about really helpful instructions on how to organize, schedule and see your caseload without going crazy the first week of school?!
Perhaps the most important resource on the Boothby Therapy Intranet is the list of therapists themselves. Names, phone numbers, email and areas of expertise provide you with access to the BTS "Community of Therapists" who are all committed to helping each other achieve the best possible outcome for each child. Sometimes you will receive help from one of your peers and sometimes you are the mentor as all of us share in the never ending process of becoming better therapists.
Boothby Therapy Services knows that traditional benefits matter too.
Because part of achieving personal happiness is being able to safeguard the health and well being of yourself and your family, Boothby Therapy Services offers a menu of employee benefits that offers something for everyone.
Health Insurance:
Boothby Therapy Services will pay 100% of your health insurance premium (HDHP 2500 Plan) if you work 30 hours or more per week! This plan is partnered with a health-savings account which means that you can save for your health care needs tax-free. And unlike traditional plans, if you remain healthy and don't need to access the savings you have set aside for healthcare, that money does not go away! It is still yours and it remains yours, even if you take another BTS position in a neighboring state or across the country.
401 K:
Once you meet the eligibility requirements of one year of service with at least 1,000 hours worked, you will be able to participate in the Boothby Therapy Services 401K plan. In an era in which many companies have reduced or eliminated their 401K plans, we have stood by this commitment to your financial future. We are excited to be able to match up to 4% of your wages, thus providing you with a retirement plan which will grow quickly for you!
Licensure and ASHA Fees Paid:
Every BTS therapist has their annual state licensure and ASHA dues paid by the Company.
Continuing Education:
Each BTS employee receives a generous continuing education stipend which is prorated depending upon the number of hours you work. Full time employees will receive up to $500 each year for continuing education. All employees have unlimited access to company sponsored and therapist driven continuing education seminars which are available either in person or via web exclusively for BTS therapists.
Other Benefits, Choices To Fit Your Needs:
As a BTS employee you will have access to preferred rates for dental, vision, life insurance, short/long term disability insurance and a host of other options which you customize to meet your unique needs.
Worker's Compensation:
Boothby Therapy Services pays worker's compensation for you. If you ever become injured due to a work-related injury you can access a pool of money designed to help get you back on your feet. There is no fee to you for worker's compensation.
Unemployment Compensation:
As an employee of Boothby Therapy Services, you would also be eligible to receive compensation if you were laid-off or if you were unable to find work. Again, there is no fee to you for this additional benefit.
